The series, which is produced by PBS KVIE in Sacramento and shown on public TV stations across the state, explores the challenges, issues and stories of public education.

Each new half-hour episode explores at least four stories directly from community college campuses across California. The programs provide viewers with a thoughtful, insightful look into the diverse range of students enrolled in local colleges and their goals and aspirations – and the educators, staff, and partners who serve and support them.

The newest episodes highlight:

  • Licensed mortician program at American River College
  • Police academy changes at Yuba College
  • Homeless frontline PEER program at San Diego City College
  • Exotic animal training zoo at Moorpark College
  • Tiny homes for students facing homelessness at Imperial Valley College
  • Prestigious science and STEM internships at Hartnell College

Inside California Education is now in its fourth season. Check your local PBS affiliate’s listings for air times, or view episodes online.
