Reflecting on the Positive Impacts of Systemwide Tech

As we make our way through April, the public health response to COVID-19 remains paramount. Sweeping steps have been taken by the state of California and our nation to minimize loss of life.

For the California Community Colleges (CCC), the response has meant a sudden move to delivering instruction and all other college services at a distance in order to abide stay-at-home emergency orders. No small endeavor for our system's 116 colleges, 73 districts, and 2.1 million students.

Yet the system has mobilized. In just a matter of months it has taken the steps needed to allow its students and institutions to deliver instruction and conduct business from home. As personnel of the Tech Center, your work has contributed directly to the success of this mobilization.

Each story in this issue spotlights just some of the ways that Tech Center products and services have helped CCC students, faculty, and staff during the challenging times we currently face.

We hope these stories will help you to reflect on the important, positive impact your work brings to millions of California residents in all areas of the state.
