Introduction to Teaching with Canvas
@ONE: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

As an introductory workshop for faculty building their first course in Canvas, this workshop will walk through the building blocks of Canvas, including modules, pages, assignments, discussions and quizzes. The workshop will provide tricks and tips for creating content, integrating multimedia and images, and designing a course in alignment with the OEI Course Design Rubric. Participants should bring their own laptops and the course outline for the class they would like to work on. No prior Canvas knowledge is needed.

Registration for this workshop is $275, and includes breakfast and lunch. Register here.

Great Online Teachers Seminar
Michelle Pacansky-Brock, EdD: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Back for the second year: Since the 1960's, the National Great Teachers Movement has inspired thousands of educators. This event will leverage the concept of a Great Teachers Seminar, but with a twist. As an online instructor, you understand that online teaching is unique from face-to-face teaching. As such, you need dedicated time to share, listen and discuss the opportunities and challenges that come with online teaching and learning. This one-day seminar will provide a positive environment for online instructors to connect, share and grow together in community. Participants will complete pre-work online using tools from Google Suite.

Registration for this workshop is $275, and includes breakfast and lunch. Register here.
