CCC Information Security & IT Accessibility Workshops, July 24 & 25, 2017, at Mt. San Antonio CollegeA call for speaker proposals is on for the upcoming CCC Information Security & IT Accessibility summer workshops, a FREE event taking place July 24-25, 2017, at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif.

California Community Colleges staff members are invited to share their stories about implementation projects, challenges undertaken in the organization, best practices and more, related to information security and/or web and IT accessibility.

Information Security, July 24

Past workshop presentations have covered SANS 20, critical security controls, open source security tools, web application firewalls, security self-assessment, computer forensics, future security trends including http 2.0, and the services provided by the CCC Information Security Center.

IT Accessibility, July 25

The July 25 IT Accessibility Workshop sessions will include presentations covering:

  • The role of Section 504 and Section 508 for accessibility
  • How to evaluate web pages for accessibility
  • Strategies for including accessibility in IT procurement
  • Solutions for PDF documents and accessibility
