CISOA/SecureIT Joint 2012 Conference

The California Community Colleges Chief Information Officers Association (CISOA) and SecureIT have announced a joint conference in 2012. "Managing The Future" will be held March 18-20 in Ontario, California and CCC Chancellor Jack Scott will keynote.
The CISOA and SecureIT joint conference allows the groups to leverage their resources to present an outstanding set of pre-conference and conference sessions. This year's unified set of sessions will address many of the current concerns of the IT professional in management, security, information systems and IT curriculum.

California Community Colleges Chancellor Jack Scott will provide a keynote address to the CISOA/SecureIT 2012 conference.
Keynote speakers at the 2012 conference will include:
- Jack Scott, Chancellor, California Community Colleges
- Dr. Stan Stahl, President, Information Systems Security Association, Los Angeles
In addition, Patrick Perry, Vice Chancellor of Technology, Research and Information Systems for the CCC, will provide an update on hot technology issues currently facing California's colleges. This session will provide a high-level update on Chancellor’s Office and system initiatives that will affect colleges and districts. Along with other state and legislative issues the Student Success Task Force (SSTF) recommendations will be addressed with a focus on the role of technology in implementation.
Conference tracks will include the following focus areas:
- Nuts & Bolts: including MIS, regulations and other “Must Know” topics
- Leadership: including practices and models that will set you and your organization apart
- Applications: including applications in the cloud and on the ground from VDI to ERP
Plus three tracks focused on Information Security:
- Management
- Operational Practices and Technologies
- Research and Curriculum Development
The CISOA/SecureIT 2012 conference is made possible through support from the California State University; the California Community Colleges; and the University of California. It is hosted by California State University, San Bernardino and the California Community Colleges Chief Information Systems Officers Association collaborative. The conference will be held in Ontario, California.
