Last Updated on Wednesday, 22 September 2010 Written by Sandoval Chagoya Tuesday, 07 September 2010
Computer-Using Educators (CUE), Inc. www.cue.org/ and The Community College Foundation have announced a new era in both the CUE and TechEd Conferences. Beginning in March 2011, all of the hands-on sessions, exhibitors and engaging workshops attendees have come to expect at TechEd will be heading to Palm Springs to be a part of the Annual CUE Conference.
On June 29, The Community College Foundation had announced the suspension of its annual International TechEd Exposition and Conference, pending a new sponsor. The Community College Foundation's new agreement with CUE assures the continuation of TechEd, with the 16th annual event being hosted by CUE in Palm Springs, California from March 17-19, 2011.
The newly combined Thursday-Saturday event will bring an expanded focus on higher education and a strand of hands-on sessions in the grand tradition of TechEd while maintaining deep expertise on student achievement through technology. The event will feature two general session keynotes, dozens of hands-on workshops and a Student Showcase focused on core curriculum, technology and innovation.
CUE and TechEd are currently seeking educators and other innovators to share their expertise by presenting a one-hour concurrent session or CUE Tip. The deadline for presentation proposals is October 8, 2010. Registration opens September 13.
