Fall CUE 2010: November 5-6, Napa Valley
Last Updated on Tuesday, 10 August 2010 Written by Sandoval Chagoya Sunday, 08 August 2010
Computer-Using Educators, Inc. (CUE) has announced the return of the Fall CUE Conference. Fall CUE 2010 will occur November 5-6, 2010 at the American Canyon High School in Napa Valley, California. This year's theme is "Soaring To New Heights".
Educators, technology coordinators, administrators and those who are looking to see how technology can support student achievement are encouraged to attend. Many sessions and exhibits will be of special value to those involved in Title I, School Improvement Program, Eisenhower Program, Data and Assessment, Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT), English Language Development (ELD), Special Needs, and GATE. Thousands of teachers, administrators, students and parents, and other professionals in education from preschool to college will attend.
The conference keynote speakers are Rushton Hurley and Hall Davidson. Hurley trains teachers at schools and conferences around the country on affordable technology, the power of multimedia and the professional perspectives and experiences of teachers at all levels. Davidson works for Discovery Education, where he blogs, creates webinars and works in educational partnerships and Global Learning Initiatives as a director of the Discovery Educator Network.

The conference also features concurrent sessions. Sessions are one-hour, lecture-style presentations that address all areas of the curriculum and appeal to a variety of teachers. Sessions may be given by a single speaker, team or panel who can address the needs of the novice user of educational technology as well as the more experienced professional.
CUE also provides spaces for selected vendors to present sessions, and on Saturday only exhibitor tables will allow attendees an opportunity to connect with vendors and collect information on the latest and greatest offerings.
For an additional fee, conference attendees can join one of the Hands-On Workshops held throughout the two-day conference. Workshop labs hold 20-30 registrants and deliver three hours of hands-on training. Space in the Hands-On Workshops is limited so early registration is recommended. In addition, CUE offers a room discount at a nearby hotel and reduced, pre-registration conference fees are available until October 15.
CUE is a nonprofit educational corporation founded in 1978. CUE's goal is to advance student achievement through technology in all disciplines from preschool through college. With an active current membership of thousands of educational professionals, CUE supports many regional affiliates and Special Interest Groups. CUE is the largest organization of its type in the west and one of the largest in the United States.<>
