Not Too Late: Attend Online Teaching Conference!

There is still time to register to attend the Online Teaching Conference (OTC). The OTC will be held June 16-18 in San Diego. The conference is designed for K-20 faculty, staff and administrators who are engaged or interested in online education.
Registration for in person attendees will remain open on the website through Tuesday, June 15 and costs $175.
After June 15, onsite registration will be available for those who still wish to attend in person. Onsite registration is $225.
Those who would like to attend virtually may register at anytime. Virtual attendance is free and includes webcasts of many of the presentations and online discussions.
The OTC will feature more than 60 presentations, covering such topics as the following:
- Green and Sustainable Learning.
- Online Teaching Practices.
- Technology and Social Networking.
- Support Services and Resources.Universal Access.
- Leadership, Planning and Evaluation.
Space is also still available in two of the pre-conference workshops, offered for the first time this year. The optional pre-conference workshops on June 16, include the following presentations:

Donna Eyestone
Donna Eyestone, will present a half day afternoon workshop on using ProfCast software in conjunction with PowerPoint or Keynote to record lectures. Participants receive a free copy of ProfCast, tips to help create great slides, recording tricks for microphone and audio and will see examples of how ProfCast can be used in the classroom. A laptop with PowerPoint or Keynote slides is neceassary to participate. The fee for the session is $125 and includes the ProfCast software.

Sallie Hill
Sallie Hill, will present a full day Google Workshop for Educators (GWE). Sponsered by Computer Using Educators (CUE), the producers of the Google Teacher Academy, the GWE introduces participants to innovative ways Google tools can be used in online education. Google Certified Teachers share ways to implement tools such as Google Docs, Google Maps and Google Sites. Participants who complete the event are given access to the Google Workshops for Educators Network (GWEN), an online community focused on supporting educators as they learn more about the power of Google to drive student learning. The fee for this session is $250.
The half-day morning session on the Apple iPad is full.
