The California Community Colleges (CCC) Information Security Center will host a one-day workshop for information technology professionals on Jan. 11, 2016, at San Jose City College in San Jose, Calif.
The Information Security Workshop is held twice a year and is open to community colleges IT personnel statewide. A mid-January workshop is held in Northern California, while a mid-July event takes place in Southern California.
The upcoming January workshop will cover current information security issues and best practices, while providing CCC IT personnel a valuable opportunity to network and collaborate with peers.

- Effective communication with management about information security initiatives
- How to test your web application for vulnerabilities
- Identity management
- Open source information security tools
The workshop will begin with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m., and conclude at 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
