Two technology vendors are hosting free webinars to help California’s community colleges gain a deeper understanding of their products’ functionality. On Nov. 29, Dropbox will discuss data security in the cloud, and on Dec. 7, Adobe Creative Cloud for Enterprise will cover named user deployment.

Dropbox and Adobe Creative Cloud solutions are available to colleges systemwide at negotiated pricing through the Foundation for California Community College’s CollegeBuys program. Learn more at CollegeBuys.org.

Dropbox Webinar: Nov. 29

Because security is critical when you store your data in the cloud, Dropbox will present “Security deep dive: How Dropbox protects your data.”

Dropbox Business is built on a sophisticated infrastructure that can meet—or exceed—your security needs. Join this live webinar with Dropbox Solutions Architect Director, Marshall Kurtz, and learn about:

  • The back-end infrastructure used for data protection
  • New functionality that enables admins to layer and customize their own policies
  • Independent verification and compliance measures
  • Security and administration solution integrations

The 45-minute webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 29, starting at noon PST. Click this link for additional details and to register.

Adobe Webinar: Dec. 7

Adobe recently shifted to a named user enterprise-level deployment, and the Adobe Creative Cloud for Enterprise Onboarding team is offering, for a limited time, a premium and complimentary engagement to get colleges up and running with named user management for end user application provisioning.

An Adobe named user deployment webinar will be held Thursday, Dec. 7, at 10:30 a.m. PST. Please register using this link. Once your information has been received, the Adobe team will send you an invite to the session.

Automate User & Access Management

With the User Sync Tool, Adobe can help your college automate the management of your user base and product access. Implementation of the tool is a simple way to minimize redundant management tasks for your organization's IT department in the administration of identity, users and product entitlements via directory services. This is the first step in taking full advantage of great products, like Adobe Portfolio and XD, and leveraging an array of services via your Adobe Admin Console.
