The California Community Colleges (CCC) Education Planning Initiative (EPI) will conduct several different presentations at the 2017 CCCApply & California Electronic Transcripts Annual Workshop, coming this spring to Sacramento, Calif.
The annual workshop will feature information on topics related to CCCApply and electronic transcript exchange in California. The EPI-hosted sessions will cover a wider range of topics, from electronic transcripts to CCC MyPath to education planning tools, and other CCC Technology Center projects. Each presentation will be conducted by EPI staff and feature in-depth information, which will ensure conference attendees are knowledgeable regarding the current status of the EPI.
The CCCApply & California Electronic Transcripts Annual Workshop will be held April 12-13 at Sacramento City College. Each year, the workshop provides a forum for the members of the CCCApply and eTranscript California steering committees to meet with their colleagues. Attendees include Admissions & Records, Student Services/Enrollment, Information Technology and Administration professionals from institutions across California, including the CCC, California State University, University of California, and private universities.
Each day focuses on a different initiative, with Day One focused on CCCApply and its theme: "Focused on Success: Mapping the Road Ahead." Day Two will feature topics related to electronic transcript exchange, themed around "Admission to Graduation #It’sAllAboutTheData.”
The EPI will lead several sessions during the electronic transcripts portion of the conference. Sessions will focus on eTranscript California, including a session entitled, “Electronic Transcripts, Getting Started Through Full Adoption.” This session will feature a panel discussion with experienced and new transcript partners. The discussion will center around:
- Discuss the current state of eTranscript California
- Implementation experiences from eTranscript California colleges
- Benefits of being fully adopted
Electronic transcripts will be the focus of another session entitled, “What’s Next for eTranscript California: Putting Data to Work.” With the implementation of eTranscriptCA 2.0, the presentation will focus on leveraging new technologies that boost adoption and data quality. Topics discussed will include:
- EdExchange, expanding eTranscript destinations
- Glue providing next generation integration
- Support for eTranscript vendor integration
- Supporting student success by putting eTranscript data to work in placement, advising, mobility, transfer and articulation
