Martha Kanter To Keynote Online Teaching Conference 2017

Martha J. Kanter, Executive Director of the College Promise Campaign, will keynote at OTC'17We are pleased to announce that Martha J. Kanter, Executive Director of the College Promise Campaign, will return to the Online Teaching Conference (OTC) this year as a keynote speaker for the event, being held June 19-21, 2017, in Anaheim, Calif.

Formerly Chancellor of Foothill-De Anza Community College District, Kanter most recently served as Distinguished Visiting Professor of Higher Education and Senior Fellow at New York University and Under Secretary of Education for the U.S. Department of Education. Kanter was a keynote speaker at OTC 2014.

The College Promise Campaign, based in Washington D.C., works to ensure college opportunity throughout the country. Many of the colleges represented at OTC are College Promise partners.

Also keynoting at this year’s conference will be Allison Dulin Salisbury, Director of Higher Education Strategy at EdSurge. In this role, Salisbury explores the most promising applications, and most pressing uncertainties, for digital learning in postsecondary education. Her informing question: How might we creatively respond to the evolving – and increasingly differentiated – needs of modern learners?

The Online Teaching Conference is presented by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office, Online Education Initiative and CCC Tech Connect (3C Media Solutions, CCC Confer, Professional Learning Network, and @ONE).

This conference is an event for faculty, staff and administrators who are engaged or interested in online education, including delivery of online services, emerging technologies, student success, library and technical support. In addition to learning, this conference is an opportunity for educators to spend valuable time with colleagues, share knowledge, and impart/receive best practices.
