The California Community Colleges (CCC) Chancellor’s Office and Common Assessment Initiative (CAI) announced they are now working toward a Fall 2017 pilot of the common assessments in Math, English and English as a Second Language (ESL).
Additional details of the revised timeline will be forthcoming. Information will be posted on the CAI project website at www.CCCAssess.org.
Originally scheduled for a Fall 2016 limited release to 12 colleges, rollout of the common assessment, known as CCCAssess, was delayed for further review and validation to ensure the new assessment test meets the needs identified early in the development process.
The CAI team worked closely with the Chancellor’s Office and the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges to fulfill the review process and determine a new rollout schedule.
The Chancellor’s Office will publish an update on the CAI’s overall progress this month, and on an ongoing monthly basis. Visit the CAI project website for updates and additional information.
